Double E Burger and Ice Cream Shoppe in Highlandville

I heard a friend talking about this place so once I saw a Groupon, I had to get it. Came out to visit with my parents while they were visiting and we left FULL! A relaxing atmosphere made deciding between the many tasty options enjoyable. The food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. I hadn't had such a good burger and tots for a while. Will definitely go back!

Very friendly service and delicious food! Reminded me of all those little mom and pop cafes I waited tables at when growing up in a small town!! Like a walk down memory lane! Will definitely go back and try other things on the menu!! Can’t go wrong stopping in for a bite to eat. Something on the menu for everyone!!

I drive 30 minutes out of town to eat her occasionally because I love the fried mushrooms and fried pickles. Good catfish and fantastic burgers.

All burgers are 1/2 lb. Mine was a little dry. Fries were tasty. Salad was great. Small fry is plenty. This place is great. A little off the beaten path but worth it. Friendly service.

This is a wonderful find. Service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. Definitely will be coming back

Amazing all homemade delicious food with awesome prices. Wonderful friendly staff. You must get a fried pie no matter what plus its big enough to share. Have not had anything that I didn't like so far. Check Groupon they usually have a deal on there. You won't be disappointed!

Very rustic. GREAT food! Awesome service. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She was very helpful with menu selections and very attentive to our needs.As far as desserts, I highly recommend the fried pies! They take about 15 minutes to make, but they are well worth the wait.This is not fast food, it is GOOD food. I had a bacon cheeseburger that was better than I make at home. The chicken sandwich was absolutely the best.While we are down in this area, we plan on eating here a few times.

Went to Double E for a great Sunday lunch. Burgers are fantastic, pork tenderloin, catfish, shrimp, and tater tots also great. We were full but kept eating until all plates were emptied since everything was so good. When it was time for dessert, we found some room for fried pies, so we ordered cherry, caramel apple, and strawberry rhubarb and managed to finish them as well. You have to try these!

The freshest, juiciest hamburger you will find in 417 land. All the food was prepared hot and fresh. And you must have one of their made to order fried pies. I will be going back!

The restuarant is so cute. The waitress we had was nice but she was quiet. The burgers we ordered were good and the fries were good too for the price. The 3 stars are for the cleanliness of the restaurant. The restrooms were very unclean and the drink station wasn't kept up either. The cleanliness of these areas are why we wont return.

Best chili burger I've never had and the birthday cake milkshake was fire!

This sits off the highway but so very worth finding! I brought my 13 year old here for lunch and he says it’s the best burger he has ever had! The food is great and the prices are great as well! They even have Fried Pies made to order! We will definitely be back!
